Like most if not all parks in India tourists will want and perhaps need a guide.  Access to the park is strictly monitored by gates.  Each morning a long line of open-top off-road vehicles are at the gates waiting to enter, most with a driver, a guide, and a few tourists eager to get a glimpse of a tiger.  One can expect to see a tiger or two each day although more some in the dry season when there is less foliage in the forest.  Tiger sightings are enhanced by the guides working together via radio to make sure all the tourists get a sighting, although the guides themselves are helped by the warning calls of the monkeys and deer when they spot a tiger.  But the park has so much more than just tigers including several species of deer, fantastic birds such as the peafowl (often referred to as the peacock), monkeys, and other entertaining wildlife.
