Footage from a few days in Big Bend National Park Texas. The primary camera was the Sony PMW-EX3 in the XDCAM format. Individual clips can be found at HDNatureFootage.net (contact us if you need help).
Big Bend National Park lies on the U.S. – Mexico border with the two countries separated by the Rio Grande River. The river is small enough that you could easily hold a conversation with a person on the other side. Common wildlife species at the park include iconic desert wildlife such as javelina, roadrunner, jackrabbit, and coyote. Winter is the preferred time to visit because temperatures are much cooler. The park is very remote and a long way from a town, but well worth the drive.
