The video footage comes from the Black Hills ponderosa pine forest of South Dakota, the longleaf and loblolly pine forests of Louisiana, and the lodgepole pine forests of Yellowstone National Park. It includes some of the notable wildlife species associated with pine forests including the red-cockaded woodpecker, the red aka pine squirrel, the red crossbill with its specialized beak for feeding on pine cones, and the pine marten. It includes footage of pine forests in summer and winter, and experiencing summer hail and wind storms and winter snowstorms and blizzards.
