A sampling of 4k footage collected in the Northern Great Plains grasslands of North America. Filmed primarily with the Z Cam E2 and BlackmagicDesign PCC 6k cameras and DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone. Individual clips can be found at HDNatureFootage.net, along with many other 4k and HD clips (contact us if you need help).
The Northern Great Plains is often referred to as America’s Serengeti and once upon a time there was some truth to it. Immense herds of bison, along with other herbivores such as pronghorn antelope, elk, deer, and bighorn sheep, populated the region. And just as importantly ecologically, billions of prairie dogs probably existed in the region, with some towns covering many square miles. The rodents were critical to the existence of other species such as the now critically endangered black-footed ferret.
